DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Catherine Hetu

My name is Catherine Hetu. I am a registered nurse working at the present time for Calgary Health Region as a Home Care nurse. I am also a member of SWAT(skin and wound assessment team). To date I have successfully assessed and treated wounds of various shapes, sizes and varieties. I have a lot to offer with regards to liasing with members of interdisciplinary teams helping to establish best practice in a clinical setting as well as in community. This fall I am enrolled in the Post-graduate/Msc in wound healing and tissue repair program in Wales. During my years in nursing I have worked in many aspects of the nursing field. I have lived in Nigeria, West Africa during my early teens and do understand the concepts and challenges that we face in the developing world. I look forward to working with the team over the next four years.
